Lamina dry mass (LDM) per unit area is an important plant functional trait. However, it time-consuming to leaves in practice. Previous studies have demonstrated that lamina fresh (LFM) approximately proportional LDM for some broad-leaved plants. those largely overlooked the influence of leaf age on relationship, and were sampled without distinguishing age. In present study, we used eight leaf-age groups Photinia serratifolia test whether LFM. And also compared two linear equations ( y = a + bx , x where ln LFM, LDM, b are constants be estimated) introduction parameter worthwhile based percent error goodness-of-fit between equations.
